1850s Holiday Party

The public is invited to an 1850s Holiday Party at the historic Ard Godfrey House, 28 University Ave. SE on Sunday, Dec. 5, 12-3 pm. Visit the oldest remaining wood frame residence in Minneapolis, built in 1849. The house is decorated for the holidays in the modest style of the era. Includes cookies and apple cider in the kitchen, and a tour of the house with guides dressed in period costume. See how the Godfrey family might have celebrated the holidays in the new community at St. Anthony Falls. Free Godfrey House buttons for kids and admission is free, donations suggested. The House is partially wheelchair accessible on the main floor, but has the restrictions of a historic home. This annual holiday party is sponsored by The Woman’s club of Minneapolis. Masks required. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is required for adults. Final dose of vaccination must be at least 14 days prior to event.
