Business Consultations/Consulta de Negocios: A representative from the City of Minneapolis will meet with business owners and entrepreneurs to share resources and assist those who want to start, maintain, or expand a business in the City of Minneapolis (e.g., financing, city regulations, and business technical assistance). No appointment necessary. Presenters speak English and Spanish. Asistencia disponible en inglés y español. Collaborator: City of Minneapolis Small Business Team. 2nd Thursday of the month, 2-4 pm.
Baby Storytime: For children birth-24 months and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, write and play together. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement in a format especially designed for babies. Tuesdays, 9:30-10:15 am.

K-12 Homework Help Tutors: Free in-person tutoring for K-12 students. No advance sign-up needed. Every Wednesday and Thursday, through June 6, 2025, 5-7:30 pm.
Stamp Art: Grades 1-5. Learn a quick and easy way to create your own rubber stamps and then use them to create stamp art on greeting cards, gift wrap and other personalized items Materials provided. Collaborator: ArtStart. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Registration required. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2-3:30 pm.
Visible Mending Workshop: Learn to mend your clothes in this beginner-friendly, hands-on, social workshop with the Minnesota Tool Library. Learn common mending techniques and the philosophy behind visible mending, as well as the tools and materials found in a mending kit. Participants will get practice with different stitches by making a small pouch to hold their own travel mending kit to take home. Techniques include patching, darning, embroidery, sewing on a button, covering stains and small holes, finishing fabric edges, and using a sewing machine. Materials provided. Collaborator: Northeast Minneapolis Tool Library. Funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2-4 pm.
Read With an Animal: Grades 1-3. Cuddle up with a certified therapy animal and practice reading aloud. Most libraries host dogs, but call ahead to see if other animals will be visiting. Drop-ins will be accommodated based on availability. Collaborator: PAWS to READ is a program of North Star Therapy Animals (NSTA). All handlers are required to be trained in an additional children’s reading program that focuses on using registered therapy animals. Saturday, Nov. 23, 1-2:30 pm.
