Poems in the Park: Friday, Sept. 16, 10 am-4 pm, Huset Park West . Poems will be on large signboards throughout the park.
Bike Fix-it Clinic: Saturday, Sept. 17, 10 am-noon. Join local cycling enthusiasts for a Bike Fix-It Clinic at the library’s bike fix-it station. Drop in anytime between 10 am and noon for help with tune-ups, tire repair, changing tires, adjusting brakes and derailleurs, and ask your bike-related questions.
Traditions and Folk Arts of India, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2 pm. Explore the customs and traditions of Indian culture, look at clothing, and learn words and phrases in Hindi. Then, using traditional Indian designs, create your own Indian mandala with colorful sand. This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Space is limited and registration is required.
Résumé Writing Workshop: Tuesday, Sept. 20, 6-7:30 p. Craft a résumé that will get you noticed. Presented by CareerForce Minnesota. Learn best practices for creating a résumé that meets the specific requirements of a position, find out what type of résumé may be best for you, and identify common mistakes to avoid. Registration required.

Birding in the Heights: Two-part course: Monday, Sept. 26, 5:30 pm, and Wednesday, Sept. 28, 5:30 pm. Learn some of the basic elements of bird identification such as how to use shape, size, and other cues. Meet for a classroom session at the library, then for the second class, meet at a park in Heights to do some birdwatching and apply new skills. Beginners welcome and encouraged. Registration required.
Conversation Circle: Mondays, 5:30-6:30 pm (no meeting Labor Day). A casual gathering of adult English-language learners who meet at the library to practice their speaking skills in a group setting.
