Poems in the Park: Huset Park West: Friday, May 13, 10 am-3 pm. The Library and Recreation departments bring poetry to Huset Park West. Large signboards featuring spring-inspired poetry will be placed along the walking trail. Explore a city park and ponder a classic poem.
Library Book Club: Wednesday, May 18, 10 am. “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles. No registration required.
Author Talk: Joe Kimball: Saturday, May 21, 11 am. Joe Kimball, author of “Secrets of the Congdon Mansion,” will discuss the infamous Congdon murder case at the Glensheen Mansion in Duluth. As a reporter for the Star Tribune, Kimball was first on the scene. He will take you on an investigative tour of the case and its startling aftermath. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Registration required.
Bike Fix-It Clinic: Saturday, May 21, 2-4 pm. Join local cycling enthusiasts for a Bike Fix-It Clinic at the library’s bike fix-it station. Drop in anytime between 2-4 pm for help with tune-ups, tire repair, changing tires, adjusting brakes and derailleurs, and any bike-related questions you might have in order to hit the roads and trails this summer. The bike fix-it station is located near the library’s parking lot entrance. No registration required.
Conversation Circle: Every Monday, 5:30-6:30 pm. Conversation Circle is a casual gathering of English-language adult learners who meet at the library to practice their speaking skills in a group setting with help from an English-speaking volunteer. No need to register; come when you can.
