Alexandra House to Hold its 17th Annual Hope Gala as a Virtual Event

Alexandra House’s annual Hope Gala typically raises a significant amount of funds (the goal was to raise $165,000) which support the organization in the first half of the year. These funds are so critical for the organization to provide direct services to domestic and sexual violence survivors. BUT victim/survivors need our community – now more than ever – to ensure Alexandra House has the financial resources to care for them at the worst moment in their lives.

They are inviting our whole community to join them (virtually) on Saturday, March 28, 6 pm, (gala attire optional), to bid on the online auction, and hear inspiring stories about why—especially in this time of community-wide crisis— Alexandra House’s services are needed now more than ever.

There is no cost to join the auction, but to participate, register online at: https://HopeGala2020.ggo.bid. The show will go on and they will be streaming the entire program through Facebook and YouTube starting at 6 pm.

They encourage guests to still wear their gala finery or their cozy jammies and share pictures online using #HopeGala2020. Pictures can also be emailed to communications@alexandrahouse.org.

Since 1977, Alexandra House has served as an ally, a resource, and a refuge for survivors of domestic, sexual, and relationship violence, and abuse in later life – providing a 24-hour emergency shelter; support groups, housing and supportive services; food shelf and basic needs assistance; legal advocacy and legal assistance, youth prevention and intervention services; community education and professional training.
