“ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety”

Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS), in partnership with Anoka County, is hosting a screening and panel discussion of the new IndieFlix documentary “ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety,” Monday, April 8, at 5:30 pm, at the CHHS Performing Arts Center, 1400 49th Ave. NE.
In the documentary, kids and teens discuss their anxiety and its impacts on their lives and relationships, as well as how they’ve found solutions and hope. The film also includes an interview with Olympic swimmer and mental health advocate Michael Phelps and discussions with mental health experts about the causes of anxiety and its sociological effects, along with the help, resources, and tools available to address the condition.
Professionals, parents, and youth ages 11 and older are encouraged to attend. Spanish subtitles will be available during the viewing. Pizza will be provided.
