Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) is proud to present the 23rd annual Art-A-Whirl® May 18 – 20, 2018 in Northeast Minneapolis. Art-A-Whirl® has become the largest weekend-long open studio tour in the country. Approximately 40,000 visitors attend, and over 700 NEMAA members display their artwork in over 50 locations throughout Northeast Minneapolis, including studio buildings, art galleries, homes, and businesses. Art-A-Whirl® provides an opportunity to tour private artist studios, ask questions, discuss techniques, experience art first-hand, and purchase unique artwork directly from the artists, all while enjoying everything Northeast Minneapolis has to offer.

Friday, May 18: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Saturday, May 19: NOON to 8:00 PM

Sunday, May 20: NOON to 5:00 PM

Don’t miss:

• NEMAA’s mobile App will help you navigate the event. Download available in May at org, the App Store, or Google Play. The App will serve as a navigation tool, will include a listing of art events and demos, family-friendly offerings, #ArtAWhirl Twitter and Instagram posts, and “I Bought Art” deals. Available for iOS and Android devices.

• Art buyers – ask the artist for your “I Bought Art” sticker after your purchase to demonstrate your support of local art. Local business sticker discounts available on NEMAA’s website and App.
• Art-A-Whirl® artist locations will feature a large red Art-A-Whirl® dot on the outside of each building/location to help visitors easily identify where they can find art.
• Dozens of special demonstrations and activities from artists will occur throughout the weekend.

Park, ride, and explore!

• 3 Free trolleys will run during Art-A-Whirl® throughout NE Arts District. Download the Art-A-Whirl® App or the Art-A-Whirl® map to view the trolley route, stops, and schedule.
• Lyft at Art-A-Whirl – Use the code ARTAWHIRL18 and receive 25% off 2 rides, up to $3 each for both new and existing passengers. Dates Valid: May 17, 2018 — May 23, 2018.
• Check out the Nice Ride locations in and near Northeast Minneapolis and use the Art-A-Whirl®maps to plan your bike path. There will even be a bike rack “hub” at 1325 Quincy St NE, right in the middle of Art-A-Whirl!
