Bandsaw for beginners

Thursday, Nov. 21, 6-8:30 pm, Minnesota Tool Library – NE Minneapolis Branch, 1620 Central Ave. NE #126. Learn how to use a bandsaw confidently and safely. No experience necessary. Class will cover the safe setup and operation of bandsaws in the MTL shop, as well as smaller portable models you may use at home. Learn basic measuring and pattern tracing and practice cutting straight lines, circles and curves in this hands-on class. The instructor will also demo the use of sleds (time-permitting participants will get some practice, as well) and share tips and tricks to ensure you get the best, most accurate cuts and reduce the chance of kickback or injury. $20/person; MTL member rate: $15.
