“Bikes vs. Cars” at Casket Cinema Shindig

Casket Cinema, in the Casket Arts Building, 681 17th Ave. NE, will have an outdoor screening of the award-winning documentary “Bikes vs. Cars,” during its first “Summer Shindig,” Thursday, Aug. 4. The shindig, 5-10 p.m., will include food trucks, visiting artists, and festivities. The documentary will be shown at 9 p.m. in the parking lot or in Studio 145 if it rains. The dutch movie looks worldwide at the confrontation between bicyclists and the auto industry.
Seth Sattmueller, owner of Recovery Bike Shop, 2504 Central Ave. NE, and Casket Cinema co-founder and Roadkill bike club President Wilbur Ince, will take questions after the film. Participants are encouraged BYOB and to ride their bikes and bring a lawn chair or blanket. Requested donations of $5-$10 will go to pay the filmmaker.
