| FreeEvent Navigation
Join Dudley Edmondson, a renowned wildlife photographer and author of “The Black & Brown Faces in America’s Wild Places”, and Monica Bryand, founder of Urban Bird Collective and wildlife photographer, as they introduce novice bird watchers to the joys of being outdoors in the winter and reframe who has access and feels welcome in our parks and public spaces. Edmondson and Bryand will speak from their respective home-bases in Duluth and St. Paul to talk about the most common birds seen in Minnesota backyards when the snow flies, binoculars and photography for beginners, ways to attract birds to feeders, nearby field trips for winter bird watching and where Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ people can connect with fellow bird watchers in Minnesota’s outdoors. Sponsored by the Minneapolis Parks Foundation. Saturday, Feb. 6, 3 pm, on Zoom.
