Canoe Ferry at Boom Island

Mississippi Park Connection will host the final installment of Canoe Ferry, an evening of culture, community, and canoeing, Thursday, Aug. 11, 5-8 p.m., at Boom Island, 724 Sibley St. NE. Participants can paddle the upper river and share the experience of the area’s earliest inhabitants, including that of Azayamankawin, a Dakota woman who ran the historic canoe ferry.
