Central Ave. Spring Cleanup

HeightsNEXT has organized a spring cleanup on Central Ave. Volunteers meet Saturday, April 22, 9 am in the parking lot of the Columbia Heights Public Library, 3939 Central Ave. NE. Bags and safety vests provided. Volunteers should bring their gloves and dress appropriately for trash cleanup and the weather. Families and groups with young children will be assigned local parks to clean up for additional safety. Businesses along Central Avenue will be invited to join in the Earth Day Cleanup, too, by clearing their properties of trash and debris that may have accumulated there. After volunteers complete their cleanup, they are invited to meet back at the library to return vests and celebrate the group’s efforts with donuts from Heights Bakery. Rain or shine.
