City Services Expo and Town Hall March 2

The City of Columbia Heights will host its inaugural City Services Expo and Town Hall event March 2, 11 am-2 pm, at the Columbia Heights Public Library.
Representatives from all city departments will be present to answer residents’ questions about Columbia Heights and local government. There will be information booths and break-out presentations on specific subjects. Residents can also apply for permits, renew pet licenses, offer feedback on city services, and more. There will be free cookies, coffee, and root beer samples, and Tasty Pizza slices available for purchase.
The event will also include a town hall forum with the mayor and City Council at 1 pm.
Filling a Gap Left by the North Metro Community Home & Garden Show
The North Metro Community Home & Garden Show held its final event last January.
The show was an annual free home improvement event sponsored by the cities of Blaine, Columbia Heights, Fridley, and Mounds View. All of the sponsoring cities had staff on hand to answer questions about housing, development and city planning.
In lieu of the Home & Garden Show, Columbia Heights officials wanted to continue offering an informational winter event for residents.
