Interested voters in Senate District 41, which includes parts of Columbia Heights and St. Anthony, are invited to meet their local DFL candidates for the Minnesota legislature, Saturday, Oct. 8, 1-3 p.m., at Columbia Heights Library, 3939 Central Ave. NE, in the community room. Rep. Carolyn Laine is running for the office being vacated by Sen. Barb Goodwin’s retirement from the Minnesota Senate. Mary Kunesh-Podein is running for the office being vacated by Rep. Carolyn Laine. Refreshments will be served.
