Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/Cleanup

Sponsored by the Great River Coalition, the National Park Service and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the 9th annual Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk is back at Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE, Saturday, April 20. Purpose: Protect pollinators and their habitat. 8:30 am, kids’ run starts; 9 am, fun run starts; 9:30 am, river cleanup starts (bags & gloves will be provided). Family-friendly, dogs welcome, music and booths. Costumes are welcome; prizes for the best. Runners register at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/75196. Registration for the 5K is $40 pre-race; $45 race day. No charge for kids’ run or river cleanup volunteer.
