Entries sought for Strike Theater One-Minute Film Festival

Calling all poets, storytellers, comics, sketch-writers, and more to star in your own reel in the First Annual Strike Theater One-Minute Film Festival.
The festival will consist of 30 one-minute video entries. Films will be aired to the public in three groups of 10 on the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 10-12, 7-8 p.m. on Strike Theater’s Facebook page and promoted on social channels leading up to the Finals. The Finals will be held Friday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m. on Strike Theater’s Facebook page.
The Finals will feature three videos within their respective award categories, the audience choice from prelims and any judges’ picks. Community judges will issue awards for Best Use of the Word “Collide”, Best Use of the Color Red and Best Use of Peanut Butter. Audience Choice (Determined by voting during prelims, Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 10-12, 7-8 p.m., on Strike Theater’s Facebook page. To cast a vote, type the number of your favorite video in the comment section. One vote per comment). Judge’s Picks (Awarded for ANYTHING judges see fit. Tune in to the Finals to see what they loved).
Videos must be received by 11:59 p.m. CST, Monday, Oct. 26. If more than 30 entries are received, a lottery will be held to determine the final 10 slots. One video per director/group will be accepted. Slots will be reserved for BIPOC/LGBTQ+ directors/groups. You will receive an email to confirm you are in the festival by Oct. 30. All entries must be shot using a cellphone after Jan. 1, 2020. Entry info at https://www.facebook.com/events/440579533582544. Texted videos etc. will not be considered. Strike Theater will not accept any submissions that feature any forms of racism, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, ageism, ableism, or any other form of hate speech, harassment or abuse and retains the right to reject any video submission for any reason.
