Afternoon Snack Program: Northeast Library will have daily snacks available for youth ages 18 and under. Every Tuesday through Saturday, 2-3 pm.

Virtual Family Storytime: For children of all ages and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, write and play together in a format appropriate for young children. Summer Learning On-demand Virtual Programs: On-demand virtual programs from local organizations and presenters are available all summer. Program topics include storytelling, dance, performances, a magic performance, music for families and more. ASL (American Sign Language) included for all videos. Presented by MELSA (Metropolitan Area Library Service Agency). Funded by Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Recorded programs are available through Hennepin County Library’s YouTube page through Aug. 31.

Youth Programming: Check out hclib.org/events for all virtual summer programs. Libraries will give away books and take-home activities for kids, while supplies last. Keep your eye out for pop-up outdoor play opportunities and story strolls.

Wizarding Escape Rooms: Attention witches and wizards: find a weekly escape room based on everyone’s favorite magical novels. Haitian Dance with Afoutayi: Dance the story of The Mermaid and the Whale with COMPAS Teaching Artist Djenane Saint Juste. Learn the Creole and French words that are part of their story. Empowering You: The Power of Saying ‘No’ & How to Say It: In this 90-minute webinar, Brenisen Wheeler from Women’s Advocates will lead a discussion on the following topics: What are our associations with the word ‘no’ and what stands in our way of saying it more? TransFabulous Workshop: Gender Affirming Wardrobe 101: Instructor Mason Persons will  share how he has been able to build his wardrobe to fit his needs alongside his gender journey. With his help, you will gain resources and tips on how to feel more euphoric in your clothing. Be prepared to show your favorite clothes and accessories with the group. Google Suite 5: Forms: Interested in creating your own surveys and questionnaires? This workshop is all about Google Forms and how to build your own custom online form and send it to others. An advantage of using this service is that when someone completes your form, the responses can be stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet with the click of a button to make for easy data collection and analysis.
