Fall Central Avenue Cleanup

HeightsNEXT is organizing volunteers for a Cleanup on Central Avenue and nearby parks. Volunteers should meet Saturday, Oct. 16, 9 am in the parking lot of the Columbia Heights Public Library, 3939 Central Ave. NE. Bags and safety vests will be provided. Volunteers should bring their own gloves and dress appropriately for trash cleanup and the weather – this event will occur, rain or shine, and will be socially distanced, with each group of volunteers dispersing to clean their own section of Central Avenue or nearby park. Wear masks when picking up and returning vests and bags. After cleanup,  meet back at the Library to return vests and celebrate the group’s efforts  Refreshments for volunteers provided in partnership with Heights Bakery.
