The Geek Partnership Society presents a free movie screening (a double header) on Friday, Aug. 3, 7-10:30 pm. People can just show up. Due to licensing restrictions, they can’t publish the titles, but as a hint, they’re about redemption and rebooting. Both feature the ocean and the Rock. The Ocean is Calling, get your guard on. If you want to know exact titles, sign up on Eventbrite at tinyurl.com/ybehcvjb and they will be emailed to you. Donations are appreciated. Some folks also bring snacks, feel free to join in. Handicap accessible. Event Horizon, 1121 Jackson St. NE., in the Waterbury Building at the intersection of Central and Broadway. The parking lot is on the east side of the building. Enter door 1121C.
