Guns in the Hands of Artists exhibit

Pillsbury United Communities will open the national art exhibition Guns in the Hands of Artists, Friday, June 3, at Public Functionary, 1400 12^th Ave. NE. The exhibit was conceived of by artist Brian Borrello in the mid-‘90s to create a conversation about guns in society. The free exhibit, which uses guns taken off the streets of New Orleans as raw material in art, is traveling the country and is produced and curated by Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, New Orleans. Pillsbury is hosting the exhibit in Minnesota as a means to continue the conversation about guns and gun violence in the community. The exhibit will be open in Minnesota through June 19.
