Hay un vacío (There’s a void) is a collection of photographs created throughout South America and Mexico over the period of one year. These images reflect his own process of understanding solitude, accepting his own mortality, and searching for a sense of purpose and place. “By starting where I began, on the outside looking in, I have chosen images that evoke feelings of loneliness and the omnipresence of mortality, while also giving light to an unknown and seemingly hopeful future. Hay un vacío mirrors the elusive nature of the self and my ever-present search to fill that void.”
