Hazardous freight and rail safety discussion

Part of the League of Women Voters Civic Buzz series on first Tuesdays at the Black Forest Inn, 26th & Nicollet Ave. S, this discussion will take place Tuesday, Feb., 7, 5:30 network, 6:15-7:30 discussion. It will help answer questions like “What has the state done and what can it do to address rail issues?” and “What about Minneapolis?” The speaker is State Rail Director Alene Tchourumoff. She is the point of contact for citizens worried about the potential for dangerous crashes from the oil trains that travel through their communities including Northeast Minneapolis.
