The Columbia Heights Fire Department will host an open house Saturday, Oct. 14, as part of National Fire Prevention Week. Spray a fire hose, meet Dalmatian dogs, enjoy free ice cream, watch a fire demonstration. The action at 825 41st Ave. NE begins at 11 am.
