Time for 4- and 5-year-olds to register for school in Heights

Columbia Heights Public Schools offer full-day PreK 4 and Kindergarten at each of the district’s three elementary schools – Highland, North Park School for Innovation and Valley View. If you have a child who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2023, it’s time to register for PreK 4. A child who will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2023 should register for kindergarten. Each elementary school will host a PreK 4 and kindergarten registration night: Highland Elementary, 5-6:30 pm Thursday, Jan. 12, 763-528-4400; North Park School for Innovation, 5-6:30 pm Tuesday, Feb. 7, 763-528-4300; Valley View Elementary, 5-6:30 pm Thursday, Feb. 9, 763-528-4200. Bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization record or exemption, Early Childhood Screening summary, proof of address, emergency contact information (name, address and phone) and daycare information (name, address and phone).
