Mary’s Christmas (Pop-Up) Palace: Starting Thursday, Nov. 15, 4 pm and running until around Feb. 28th. “Where mismatch Christmas decor with a retro flare plasters every nook and cranny…Betty, until now, has kept her multiple personality disorder under wraps, but recently Mary has emerged. Mary, Betty’s other personality, has gone overboard with everything Christmas, including tacky bows, lights, garland, plastic blow molds, tinsel and twinkle, and even homemade coffee filter snowflakes. Mary will debut an all new American country club classics menu with Christmas time eats and drinks for the entire winter season. The fireplaces will roar, the classic Christmas tunes will soar. The scent of peppermint and whiskey will fill the room, making everyone feel toasty and a little more huggy than normal.” (Betty Danger’s will be open on Christmas evening at 8 pm for Christmas adulting and merriment.)
The Third Annual Bizarre Bazaar: Betty’s Danger’s third annual Bizarre Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 am-5 pm, featuring Betty’s favorite artisans from around Minnesota (and maybe even Wisconsin), selling their most precious cross-stitches and yarn beards for the Holidays. “Betty’s Bizarre Bazaar has created a reputation over the past three years for being the quirkiest around. Betty hosts this event for artists as an expression of her love for NE Mpls. This is your opportunity to purchase a fantastic variety of gift items including jewelry, sassy needlepoints, knitted cacti, festive florals, silk screen ties, and other creative/clever/weird/kooky crafts. Betty’s Bizarre Bazaar is open to all ages and free to attend.”
