Minneapolis-based performance artist Ashley DuBose and Sammy’s Avenue Eatery, 3301 Central Ave. NE, are hosting a Three-Course Meal & Music event, Friday, Dec. 20. Doors will open at 8:15 pm, with the meal and music at 8:30 pm.
The evening will include soul food by Sammy McDowell, live music by DuBose and pianist Taylor Hamilton, and a meet and greet following the show. The buffet style meal includes salad, entree, dessert, and beverages; wine is included for guests ages 21+. Vegan and vegetarian options available.
In light of the emotional and mental effects that the holidays can have on many, donations will be accepted for a locally owned and operated mental health awareness organization, Protect Your Crown (protectyourcrown1.com).
