Event Navigation
Holly Streekstra, a conceptual artist, works with multiple modes and forms of expression to investigate our subjective inner states, our relationship with wonder and our desire for mystery and enchantment. In her work, created exclusively for “Interpreting the Invisible Universe,” she uses encaustic paint, photograms and photo-based collages to investigate and explore images of deep space. The exhibition opens Saturday, Aug. 10, and runs through Saturday, Sept. 7. On Saturday, Aug. 17, the gallery will host an artist reception at 7-9 pm, and on Thursday, Sept. 5, 6:30-7:30 pm, Streekstra will talk about her show at the gallery during September First Thursday. Kolman & Reeb, Studio 395, Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE.
