Connect and Play: For children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Connect with your child during this drop-in program exploring early literacy activities. Masks are required for all patrons older than 5. Virtual Hiring Event: Each employer will feature information about their organization, job openings, interview questions, and more. You will be able to chat with them all. Vinyl Revival: Album Encounters: Discuss David Bowie’s “Berlin Trilogy”- a trio of albums that not only changed the trajectory of Bowie’s career but popular music across the globe. Selections from this musical triptych of Low, “Heroes”, and Lodger as well as the Iggy Pop albums Bowie collaborated on during this period will also be spun. Queer Voices Writing Circles: Join Queer Voices curators Sherrie Fernandez-Williams and Lisa Marie Brimmer as they facilitate writing circles: collective space for community building, sharing, knowledge, and sharing work. This space is not about critique, but about the admiration of the sentences and more generative moments in the writing process. Come with your writing tools and something yummy to drink or eat. Spend two hours grounding in the archive, responding to writing prompts, and sharing back in community. This is a drop-in writing group. Online event. Link available on library website. Criminal Expungement Information Session: Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge to seal a court record. People request an expungement when they have been denied a job, housing, or a professional license because of a criminal incident that shows up on a background check. Attend this virtual information session via Microsoft Teams to learn more about the expungement process and have general questions answered by attorneys. The session is free, but registration is required. Expungement court forms will be provided to all registrants.
