Jill Stebbins artist talk: Local artist Jill Stebbins will talk about her art, followed by a Q&A session, Thursday, Nov. 17, 5–6 pm at Pierre Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St NE, Minneapolis. Her current exhibit Art Motley is on display at the library until the end of December. Cost: Free. Registration: Not required.
Monument to Friendliness – A History of the Grain Belt Brewery: Saturday, Dec. 10, 1-2 pm. A presentation by local author Jeff R. Lonto on the history of the Grain Belt Brewery complex in Northeast Minneapolis, from its years as a brewery in the 1890s until the 1970s, and the decades-long efforts to restore it after it closed. Books by Jeff Lonto will be available for purchase and signing. Free, registration required.
The Golden Grain Belt Beers: Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, 1-2 pm. A look at the products and advertising of the Minneapolis Brewing Company and Grain Belt Breweries, Inc. from the 1890s until the 1970s, by local author Jeff R. Lonto.
