Winter Solstice Celebration, Friday, Dec. 16, 6-8 p.m., rejoice the coming of longer days with celestial activities. Discover the difference between the solstice and equinox, learn winter constellations, hike the park, and enjoy a fire. The cost is $5. All ages are welcome.
Snowshoeing, Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., get into the spirit of the season by borrowing a pair of snowshoes to explore the park. Free for all ages.
Early Birding, Saturday, Dec. 31, 9-10:30 a.m., join for a morning of bird watching on snowshoes. Wear winter boots. Binoculars provided if needed. Free for all ages.
