“Madagascar Jr.” at NE parks

Minneapolis Parks and Recreation will host two free performances of “Madagascar Jr.: A Musical Adventure” at two Northeast parks later this month. For familes and kids 5-12, Madagascar Jr. is a musical based on the smash DreamWorks animated movie, Madagascar! Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, it will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!” See the play Wednesday, July 26, 3 pm at Cavell Park, 3435 Fillmore St. NE; and Friday, July 28, 10 am at Beltrami Park, 1111 Summer St. NE.
