Make your own cutting board

During this class you will learn how to use a variety of tools including; jointers, planers, table saws, chop saws, and the timesaver.  Day 1 (03/22/21): Learn to “square stock” (preparing the boards so they have straight edges and are ready for gluing).  Then cut staves from a variety of different species of wood and combine them to create the pattern you want for your cutting board. End this day by gluing and clamping together  strips of wood to make a rough board. Day 2 (03/29/21): Plane down your rough blanks, cut them to final dimensions, and then sand and finish the cutting boards by hand. Cost: $70.
