Medicare Virtual Workshop

Thursday, Sept. 17, 10 am, Columbia Heights Public Library online. A representative from the Senior Linkage Line will present recent changes in Medicare benefits and coverage, and how these changes affect you. They will cover the importance of reviewing Medicare Part D coverage during the annual Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 15-Dec. 7), how to use Medicare.gov to make health insurance comparisons, how Part D works, and the impact of the Affordable Care Act. They will also explain the Low Income Subsidy, a Federal program that may reduce prescription drug costs. Ideal audience: older adults, caregivers, and professionals. You will need a web-enabled device with a camera and microphone to participate in this program via Zoom. Registration is required.
