MinnAnimate five

MinnAnimate is celebrating its fifth incarnation on Thursday, Sept. 8 with another annual showcase of student, youth and independent animation made in Minnesota and just over the border. Join them at the St. Anthony Main Theater, 115 SE Main St., the home of the Film Society of Minneapolis and St. Paul, for a look at the Minnesota animation scene, in a wide variety of animation types and styles.

This year’s MinnAnimate will feature two screenings, with youth and student films at 6 p.m. and a program of independent animation at 7:30 p.m. There will be a Q and A with filmmakers will take place between the screenings, from about 6:45 to 7:15. Tickets are $8.50 general, $6 student/senior, $5 Film Society members. Stay for one screening or both for the same ticket price. For more information, visit www.MinnAnimate.com.
