Minneapolis Bike Tour

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will hold the 12^th annual Minneapolis Bike Tour, Sunday, Sept. 16, with an opening ceremony at 8 am. The tour will start and end at Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE, and features two fully supported routes (16 miles and 32 miles) that take riders through the spectacular park and byway system of Minneapolis at their own pace, traffic-free.

Routes include stops with refreshments and bike mechanics. After the ride, stick around to enjoy live music, free beer available to participants 21+, food from local vendors, and Bike Tour merchandise for sale. Proceeds support youth bike programs in Minneapolis parks. The cost is $20 for youth and $30 for adults through Sept. 9, or $50 the day of. Info and registration: minneapolisbiketour.com.
