Minneapolis People’s Climate & Equity Plan meetings

Ward 1 residents concerned about how economic inequity and climate change impact their communities can meet with a group of local citizens working with MN350 and other local equity and climate groups to pass The People’s Climate and Equity Plan with the City of Minneapolis. They’re meeting with Ward 1 City Council Member Elliott Payne soon to discuss the details and to seek his support in getting it passed. The plan focuses on creating local green jobs and starts with providing resources and job training for Minneapolis communities that have experienced the highest rates of poverty and pollution. Work together to bring the vision of a Green New Deal for Minneapolis to lawmakers. Meetings will be held via Zoom Monday, May 16 and Monday, May 18, 6:30-8:30 pm for training for hosting house parties and one-to-one relationship building.
