The Stone Arch Festival celebrates its 24th year Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, noon-7 pm. The Pillsbury A-Mill is located in the heart of the festival, 315 main St. SE. This year they will once again host a free, family-friendly community building event. The event is called “Minneatureapolis,” a community art project. Folks of all ages and skill sets come together and create a huge imaginary city in clay. A team of trained educators assist. Tools and supplies are provided. Last year 300 community members participated. Aldo Moroni, a resident artist of A-Mill, has hosted this city building event since the festival’s start in 1994. The public is invited to take part in this participatory “social art” event. The A-Mill Artists Lofts will be open throughout the festival and many of the building’s artists will show new works and share live performances.
