Mirandola Ensemble at Holy Cross

The Mirandola Ensemble, under the direction of Nick Chalmers, will perform at Holy Cross Church, 1621 University Ave. NE on Saturday, Oct. 23, 8 pm. The concert will feature  choral works of the Flemish Renaissance by composers Orlando di Lasso, Jacques Ockeghem, and Josquin des Prez. Founded in 2011, the Mirandola Ensemble is a Minneapolis-based professional choral ensemble dedicated to promoting the highest standards of choral music, the idea of choral music as ‘high art’ in the Western tradition, and the aesthetics of the Renaissance. The ensemble has served multiple years as a Class Notes Artist-in-Residence for Classical Minnesota Public Radio and has produced multiple studio albums.
