Monarch Festival & Movie Night

Join the Columbia Heights Mayor’s Monarch Pledge activities at a free festival and movie night, Wednesday, Aug. 18, 6:30 pm, at Huset Park West, 3965 Jefferson St. NE. “Bring a picnic, your chairs, or blankets, and enjoy a summer evening with all things Monarchs. We even encourage you to dress like a butterfly or pollinator,” said Columbia Heights Mayor Amáda Márquez Simula. A puppet wagon, seed activities, public pollinator art and a 7:30 p.m. showing of the documentary, “Flight of the Butterflies” are also included.
