Two artists with studios on the second floor of the California Building, 2205 California St. NE, will showcase their work in a two-person exhibition, “Movement, Gesture, Rhythm,” in the on2gallery, Sept. 5-Oct. 25, with a reception, Saturday, Sept. 14, 1-3 pm.
Brenda Litman will exhibit abstract paintings inspired by nature. Adu Gindy says the animated images in her paintings are “metaphoric vehicles for movement, gesture, rhythm.”
Gallery hours: Second Saturdays, Sept. 14 and Oct. 12, 11 am-4 pm; Mondays-Fridays, 10 am-5 pm; and by appointment. Free and open to the public, in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Info: californiabuilding.com.
