MPS Candidate Forum

On Oct. 22, the Graves Foundation will host a Minneapolis Public School Board Candidate Forum at Franklin Middle School, 1501 Aldrich Avenue N.

Moderated by Tom Weber, formerly of Minnesota Public Radio, this is a culminating event for a public awareness campaign Unbound: A New Conversation About Public Education in Minneapolis, in partnership with Pollen Studios.

School board directors govern a budget of almost $800 million, and impact daily the lives of 35,000+ of the city’s children, some of them deemed the “most vulnerable” in our state. Two at-large seats are also up for election with four candidates (one of whom is an incumbent) running. Doors open at 6:30 pm; forum runs 7-8:30 pm. Parking available in side lots.
