Music and Movies in the Parks

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is offering Music and Movies in the Parks through early September. The 2018 music schedule features more the 200 free outdoor concerts, including concerts at Nicollet Island Park, 40 Power St., Mondays at 7 pm, and at Father Hennepin Bluff Park, 420 Main St. SE, Tuesdays at 7 pm. Nicollet Island Park will host Innocent Reggae Band, Aug. 6, and Women’s Drum Center with Taikollaborative, Aug. 13. Father Hennepin will host Nomothetic, Aug. 7, and RLGDPPL, Aug. 14.

Upcoming local movies include: “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit,” at Father Hennepin, Tuesday, Aug. 7, and “Black Panther,” Aug. 14. Movies start 15 minutes after sunset. Info and schedules: minneapolisparks.org/activities__events/music__movies/.
