Business Consultations with City of Minneapolis: A representative from the City of Minneapolis will meet with business owners and entrepreneurs to share resources (financing, city regulations, and business technical assistance) and assist those who want to start, maintain, or expand a business in the City of Minneapolis. Virtual Citizenship Workshop: Drop into online study sessions to practice for your citizenship interview. Work in small groups or individually with a volunteer from Literacy Minnesota. Content Strategy: Many traditional outreach methods are becoming less and less effective—people are skimming, fast forwarding, blocking, and deleting like never before. But they skip in order to get to something else. Having a consistent, audience-centered content strategy, one that doesn’t interrupt what people want, but gives them what they want, is one of the best ways to break through the noise. Criminal Expungement Information Session: Expungement is the process of going to court to task a judge to seal a court record. People request an expungement when they have been denied a job, housing, or a professional license because of a criminal incident that shows up on a background check. Attend the virtual information session via Microsoft Teams to learn more about the expungement process and have general questions answered by attorneys The session is free, but registration is required.
