“One-Act Play Festival” and other Art-A-Whirl events at Edison

Thomas Edison’s Theater will perform a “One-Act Play Festival,” a showcase of short plays, Thursday through Sunday, May 19-21, at 7 p.m., at Edison High School, 700 22nd Ave. NE, in the auditorium. There will also be a matinee performance on Saturday, May 21, at 3:30 p.m., in the outdoor amphitheater, during Art-A-Whirl. Tickets cost $5 for each performance and will be available at the door.

Also, to celebrate Art-A-Whirl, there will be musical performances in the amphitheater throughout the day on Saturday, and a visual art gallery, Friday, May 20, 3-8 p.m., and Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., in the school’s Auto Shop, along the Quincy Avenue side of Edison, which has been converted into gallery space for the weekend.
