Our Seams

Minneapolis-based photographer Diana Albrecht presents a new portrait series, “Our Seams.” Albrecht said the series grew from questions stemming from her experiences “at the intersection of transnationalism, queerness and style. Choices in dress can be a radical act. Tension arises between contemporary and conventional. How can we celebrate our backgrounds in a way that feels true to who we are today? How do modern pressures and historical expectations impact our personal style choices?” The exhibition is at Public Functionary, Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE, #144, and runs through May 5.  Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday, 10 am-6 pm.
