Our storied river: Call for storytellers

Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) seeks storytellers to tell their stories about how the river changed them at FMR’s annual river celebration and fundraiser in October. This year’s event will be virtual, and will feature a curated selection of stories.

Experienced and novice storytellers are welcome to submit stories by July 1. Selected storytellers will have the opportunity to workshop with Loren Niemi — a National Storytelling Network Lifetime Achievement Award winner — to hone their stories and presentation, and will receive a $50 honorarium.
