Paddle Share reopens for the summer

Paddle Share, the kayak-sharing system for experienced kayakers that allows them to share the use of a kayak on the Mississippi River, opened May 26 and will run through the end of September.  Paddlers have five trip beginnings and endings to chose from: Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park to North Mississippi Regional Park, River Park to North Mississippi Regional Park, North Mississippi Regional Park to Boom Island Park, Lowry Avenue Bridge to Boom Island Park, and Hidden Falls Regional Park (North Entrance) to Harriet Island Regional Park.  You must be 18 or older to operate a kayak by yourself, but younger paddlers can go with an adult.
