Polish Folk Art Class at Columbia Heights Library

Columbia Heights Public Library, 3939 Central Ave. NE, will have a Polish Folk Art Class, Saturday, Oct. 22, 1-3:30 p.m. Participants can try painting in the centuries-old tradition of the villagers of Zalipie, touted as Poland’s most highly decorated village. Supplies are provided. No experience is needed. Local artist Mary Welke, will instruct the class. The program is offered in collaboration with the Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota, in recognition of Polish-American Heritage Month.
