Quilters sought for CH Centennial quilt

When the City of Columbia Heights turns 100 in 2021, a commemorative quilt will be on display. A community quilting group will assemble it this fall. Centennial planners ask residents to share their favorite part of Columbia Heights. You can submit ideas or memories such as playing at McKenna Park, attending a movie at the Heights Theater, or watching the Jamboree parade. The deadline to submit an idea for the centennial quilt is Thursday, Oct. 1.
Are you a quilter? Members of the community may also submit their own square for the centennial quilt.
Email Will Rottler, wrottler@columbiaheightsmn.gov, to submit your quilt idea or to request info on making your own quilting square. Due to the limited size of the quilt, not all ideas will be included in the final product.
