RLR’s 2nd annual Start with a Dream 5K & Kid’s Race will take place Saturday, Aug. 18. This unique event will be fun for all ages, so get your entire family together to run, walk or jog for an amazing cause. Dog and stroller friendly. They promise a great time and awesome swag. Father Hennepin Park, 420 SE Main St. 5K Start: 9 am. Kid’s Run (1/2 mile, free, ages 4-13) start: 8:30 am. All children must be registered before start of race. Post-Race Party: 10-11 am. Register and learn more at runlikerel.com. Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. All 5K participants receive a t-shirt; all kid race participants awarded medals. Live DJ, photography/photo backdrop on site. All event proceeds benefit RLR’s youth programs and founding scholarship fund efforts to help close the Twin Cities’ high school achievement gap.
